The Structure of the White Tower

The White Tower is led by the Lord Commander (guild leader), ably assisted by the Seneschal (official deputy), the Keeper of the Keys (unofficial deputy) and the Warden of the Tower (unofficial deputy). See the Contact page for details.

All other Knights (warrior classes) and Advisers (magical classes) are required to seek membership in a Codex of the Tower.

The Codex Structure

Each Codex of the White Tower is led by a Knight Commander. The Knight Commander of a Codex is responsible for keeping track of the members of his or her Codex as well as taking their place in the leadership of the guild.

Each Codex of the Tower contains both Knights and Advisers to some degree, but each has developed its own flavour due to continuity of leadership over the years. Knights are encouraged to speak with the Lord Commander of a Codex they are interested in to learn more, as it is rare for a Knight or Adviser to change Codex during their career.

The strongest warriors often favour the Green Codex, though those who prefer dispensing justice may find the Red Codex more to their tastes. The Blue Codex are restless explorers always in search of new challenges, something of which the librarian knights of the Brown Codex heartily approve. The Yellow Codex is favoured by priests and healers, the White Codex by those concerned largely with intellectual and philosophical pursuits, and last but not least, the Grey Codex is home to the diplomats of the Guild.

Despite rumours spread by enemies of Bereny and the Crown, there is no such faction as the Black Codex.
